Why should I remove EXIF? Photos often carry GPS coordinates that can pinpoint your exact home, plus the camera model, device serial and timestamps. Posting one on a marketplace or forum can hand strangers your address — a real doxxing risk.
Is this really lossless? Yes. We remove only the metadata segments/chunks and copy every image pixel byte unchanged — no re-compression, no quality loss.
Will colors change? No — by default your color profile (ICC) is kept. Only the privacy data (EXIF/GPS/XMP/IPTC/comments) is removed.
Are my photos uploaded? No. Everything runs in your browser. That's the whole point: uploading a photo to strip its location would defeat the privacy purpose.
What about HEIC? This tool covers JPEG, PNG and WebP. For iPhone HEIC use our HEIC to JPG converter first.
Metadata parsing is done locally. A GPS tag is flagged when the photo's EXIF contains a GPS block — if you turned off location when shooting, nothing will be flagged.
